I WAS PLAYING POKER WITH SOME OF THE BOYS WHEN A FELLA COMES IN A MAKIN SOME NOISE ALL ABOUT SOME THING HES DOING CALLED SKIING HELL I DIDN;T KNOW WHAT HE WAS TALKING ABOUT AND I DIDN'T MUCH CARE TILL I FOUND OUT LOTS OF PRETTY GIRLS DO IT SO I SAID "COUNT ME IN" 2. SO WE STARTED TALKING ABOUT SKIING UNTIL SOMEBODY SAID "HEY SHUT UP AND DEAL" SO I DEALT MYSELF ANOTHER LOSING HAND---AND SINCE MY LUCK WAS RUNNING SO BAD I QUIT THAT GAME WITH WHAT I HAD AND ME MY FRIEND STARTED MAKING TRAVELIN PLANS 3 WELL HE PICKED ME UP ABOUT HALF PAST 3 THIS FELLA LOOKED UWFUL STRANGE TO ME HE WORE TIGHT PANTS AND YELLOW PLASTIC SHOES HE HAD A PURPLE SWEATER AND A FUNNY HAT ADVERTISING SKIS AND STUFF LIKE THAT WITH A PAIR OF SUNGLASSES RED WHITE AND BLUE 4. WELL I WOUND UP WITH A CASE OF THE BLUES WHEN THEY TOOK MY MONEY AND TOOK MY SHOES SHOVED INTO BOOTS AND SAID "HOW ARE THOSE" WELL I COULDN'T TALK CAUSE THEY HURT SO BAD AND THEY ALL SMILED CAUSE THEY WERRE GLAD AS I WAS LOSING THE FEELIN IN MY TOES 5. WELL HE PUT ON MY SKIS AND HE PUT ON MINE AND WE SLID ON OVER AND STOOD IN LINE BEFORE I KNEW IT I WAS HANGING IN A MOVIN CHAIR IT WAS SNOWING SO BAD I COULDN'T SEE AND HE SAYS "BOY IT LOOKS GOOD TO ME" WELL I KNEW HE WAS CRAZY BUT IC OULDN'T GET OUT OF THERE 6 WHEN WE GOT TO THE TOP THE HILL WAS STEEP AND I FELL IN SNOW 4 FEET DEEP WHEN I COULDN'T GET UP I THOUGHT I'VE HAD MY FILL SO I SAID TO MY PAL "WON"T YOU HELP ME PLEASE" HE SAID SOMETHING ABOUT BENDING MY KNEES AND WHEN I LOOKED UP HE WAS HEADIN ON DOWN THE HILL 7. NOW I'M JUST LYING THERE GETTIN COLD WHEN THIS KID ABOUT EIGHT YEARS OLD COMES 40MPH SKIING RIGHT OVER ME "HECK I CAN DO IT IF THAT KID CAN" AND AFTER 10 MINUTES I MANAGED TO STAND AND THATS WHEN I SLID HEAD FIRST INTO THE TREE SINGING TUMBLING FUMBLING TRYING TO GET MY LEGS UNTANGLED TRYING TO GET FREE FROM A BIG PINE TREE THERES NOTHING BUT TROUBLE WHEN TRYING TO LEARN TO SKI 8.NOW I'M JUST LYING THERE THINKIN I'M DEAD WHEN THIS GUY COMES UP PULLIN A SLED HE SAYS DON'T WORRY AND STARTS TO TIE ME IN WELL THEN WE TOOK OFF DOWN THAT HILL AND I HAD MYSELF A HECK OF A THRILL AND I THOUGHT "HEY THIS IS THE GREATEST THRILL OF SKIING" 9.NOW I'M FROM THE CITY BUT I THINK ITS NICE TO GET TO THE MOUNTAINS ONCE OR TWICE TO BE ALONE IN THE WILDNERNESS AND ALL THAT KIND OF STUFF BUT WHEN WE GOT TO THAT SKIING PLACE I NEVER SAW SO MUCH HUMAN RACE AND CROWDS LIKE THAT IN THE CITY I'VE SEEN ENOUGH 10. NOW I CAN'T SAY I DIDN'T HAVE SOME FUN OR THAT I'M SORRY THAT I'D COME BUT I DO WHAT TO TELL YOU EXACTLY HOW I FEEL IF I'M EVER AT POKER GAME AGAIN AND SOMEONE WALKS IN TALKIN ABOUT SKIING I'M JUST GONNA TELL THAT JOKER" HEY SHUT UP AND DEAL" TUMBLING FUMBLING TRYING TO GET MY LEGS UNTANGLED TRYING TO GET FREE FROM A BIG PINE TREE THERES NOTHING BUT TROUBLE WHEN YOUR TRYIN TO LEARN TO SKI
